288th Signal Corps

The 288th Signal Company was here early when the installation was still called Camp Carrabelle and was part of the 3rd Amphibious Brigade (later the 3rd ESB). Our files contain two original reports from January 1943: one a report on radio maintenance and another on advantages of Radio Compass. Both reports were prepared by 2nd LT Robert B. Dunbar, the radio maintenance officer. One report is signed off by 1st Lt SC William C. Cooper.
