362ND QUARTERMASTER BATTALION


2ND ENGINEER AMPHIBIAN BRIGADE
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WW2

The 362nd Quartermaster Battalion and the 162nd Ordnance Platoon of the 2nd Engineer Amphibian Brigade left San Francisco on 13 February 1943. They arrived in Brisbane on 8 March 1943.

On 11 March 1943, both units left Brisbane by train for Rockhampton in central Queensland.

On 4 July 1943, Company “A” of the 362nd Quartermaster Battalion was redesignated as the 189th Quartermaster Gasoline Supply Company and Company “C” of the 362nd Quartermaster Battalion was redesignated as the 695th Quartermaster Truck Company.
